Kenneth Bykerk lives in the mountains central to Arizona on land once mined by his great-grandfather. He's known this land and the ghost towns about his whole life and now, upon those ruins he once played as a child, he does so now with his pen.
The town of Baird's Holler is one of the many small ghost towns in Arizona now lost to memory. In the Bradshaw range alone, over a dozen such have disappeared. Where industry once was, barely ruins remain. It is from these ruins the Tales of the Bajazid spring.
The Tales of the Bajazid are those stories collected over time of the tragedies which took place in this small pocket of land deep in Bradshaw Mountains of Arizona. These are Weird Westerns of a different vein, Arizona style where those desperate men who dig in the earth are given their due and the Cowboy on his pony is properly ignored.
